When is a good time to stop working?

While we cannot lump everyone’s ability and choice to continue working as one-and-the-same, I do suggest that you consider reflecting on the following: Firstly, try to take as much time off before the due date, ideally 1-2 months at least. Being on a quieter, calmer pace will allow your body’s internal clock to adjust to the monotony and relaxed pace in mothering a newborn. Secondly, consider working part-time from 28 weeks and nil work from 32 weeks. Especially in the third trimester, there is a great physical stress placed on your joints, spine and muscles, and vital organs, and you may want to prevent external stresses from adding further impact on your body and pregnancy.
