digestion problems insulin balance salty treats sugary foods Nov 22, 2024

Sugary foods such as sugared breakfast cereals, jam, biscuits, cakes, desserts, jelly, ice-cream, chocolate, many commercial fruit-juices, soft drinks, ice blocks and lollies are all close to ‘poison’, biologically speaking, for all children — especially preschoolers: kiddie-cocaine (sugar) rots their teeth, disturbs their digestion, plays havoc with their insulin balance, cultivates an undesirable sweet-tooth, wrecks their concentration, and crazies their mood. Salted snacks are also not recommended food for children. So, do try hard to limit their sugar and salt intake to genuinely special treats — not part of their everyday diet.
