What’s a typical sleeping routine I can use on my one year old?
Nov 13, 2024Bubs may swing between one day-sleep and two day-sleeps for a few weeks before settling into a new routine of one long day-sleep. Or it may be a long late-morning sleep with afternoon catnap. Or you may make his evening bedtime earlier, to cope with the middle-of-the-day sleep. It may also mean an early lunch. If your baby ‘doesn’t want’ to have a morning or afternoon nap, she should still spend that time in her cot resting or playing, and getting used to her own company. You need a break, and she doesn’t need you all the time. Toddlers need safe time alone to develop confident independence, and mothers need a little time out too every day to maintain sanity!
