With first babies, do try to follow the 1-3-10-1 rule before contacting the LMC: 1+ hours of 3+ contractions every 10 minutes, all 1+ minute long, which the mum can’t speak through — subject to whatever different advice your LMC may give, based on your individual circumstances.
