What is a normal nap time for a 3 to 4-year old child?

nap time sleep Nov 13, 2024

At age three, preschoolers need around 14 hours’ sleep per 24 hours, probably still including an afternoon nap. At age four, preschoolers need around 13 hours’ sleep per 24 hours, usually dropping the afternoon nap. As I said earlier, research shows beyond any doubt whatsoever that poor sleep directly affects their ability to be happy, their capacity to learn and their resulting IQ. Remember, get rid of all sleep crutches, stick to a routine and be absolutely resolute that at bedtime, sleep is the only option!
