What can skills could be helpful for my child to learn before starting school?

Some basics you can teach them is on using the toilet independently, putting items into their backpack, putting on a jacket and Velcro-fastened shoes, asking and answering questions, telling someone their full name and age, sitting still when required, and coping with lunchbox items.  This will help them adjust better.
