Nov 20, 2024The following can be used to relieve the mum’s discomfort during this stage: applying hot or cold packs to your lower back; massaging or putting firm pressure on the centre or sides of your lower back; give your hips a circular massage or pressing into the centre of each buttock; supporting you with pillows (and their own body in various positions); and having a hot shower with the spray directed on your lower back. Meanwhile the mum can kneel with your legs wide apart and rocking your pelvis or sit on their own knuckles under each butt cheek.
