What can be considered as a ‘normal term’?

A baby’s birth occurring between 37 and 42 weeks is classed as ‘term’ – i.e. not early and not late. Before 37 weeks is premature. After 42 weeks is post-dates. But between 37 and 42 weeks is a normal time for a term baby to be born.
