With bottle-feeding (formula or mum’s expressed breastmilk), a very useful dishwasher accessory is a little ‘cage’ to put the lids, nipples and bottle collars in. You may need a bottle steriliser which comes in both microwave, electric steamer or the cold-water sterilizing models. Of course, there’s always the simple old-fashioned method of a saucepan of boiling water (three minutes for teats and dummies, five minutes for bottles). A double-ended bottle-brush is also a must.
