What are signs that I am zinc deficient?
Nov 19, 2024When a person’s body is deficient in zinc it can show itself in their behaviour. — they may become irritable, aggressive and angry, hyperactive and/or depressed. Other symptoms of zinc deficiency are a reduced sensitivity to taste, acne pimples and slow skin healing. Treatment of zinc deficiency can take months to recover from or may require life-long remedies. However, too much zinc can be as bad as too little zinc — so around 15–50 mg daily is usually the recommended dose. Zinc can positively assist to lower oestrogen levels while increasing progesterone and help to improve the immune system and build strong bones.
