What are causes for breastfeeding problems other than incorrect latch-on?
Nov 14, 2024It can be possible to be doing nothing incorrectly, yet breastfeeding is not still successful. Some reasons would include: insignificant enlargement of the breast tissue during the last stage of pregnancy; anatomy of the breast possibly due to trauma or other cosmetic changes; configuration of the nipples; delayed milk production with C-section, history of infertility; or other maternal illness such as cold or flu or thyroid dysfunction. The baby factor also plays a part in breastfeeding problems, including having a disinterested sleepy disposition; developing oral aversion due to intubation received at birth; or having a cleft palate or any genetic problem.
