Is postnatal absentmindedness, normal?

Every new mother will experience her postnatal absentmindedness in a slightly different out-to-lunch way. It is like being lost inside a cloud, unable to comprehend why everyone else seems to be on a different planet. It’s as if they’re talking a foreign language, and when you try to communicate with them you can never retrieve the words you want from your memory bank, and you can’t remember a big chunk of the local lingo anymore . . . especially nouns!
