Is it normal for a two-years old to have the usual flu?
Nov 13, 2024By this age, it is normal for a child to have lots of little coughs and colds (say six to 10x a year), the occasional bout of gastroenteritis (vomiting and diarrhoea), and other miscellaneous spells of disease, such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), tonsillitis, bronchitis, and ear infections (otitis media). These are all a very normal part of growing up, and a very necessary process for all children to develop a robust immune system.
