How long do I fully recover from a C-section?

The body is usually feeling pretty normal again within a couple of months of the birth, but by three months approximately one in three women are still feeling unrecovered from the surgery, and about one in five still have pain at the incision site. It can take up to six months for some women’s bodies to recover fully from a C-section (and some veterans say it’s more like a year). Even eight or so months after birth, it can be normal for the Caesar incision to become itchy and red before it reduces to form its permanent scar.
