How long before I can get to correct my bub’s sleeping habits?

Changing bad baby habits takes three days.  So if, for example, it is normal for you to lie down with your seven-month-old baby till she goes to sleep, with lullaby music on, a dummy in her mouth and, a night-light on, and she still wakes up again twice more through the night, requiring the same or a similar ritual to get back to sleep — you need to be removing each sleep-aid prop one at a time. It would be too traumatic for your little babe to change everything all at once. Things need to be addressed in three-day increments. You need to face the reality that you created these bad habits, out of good intentions I know, but only you can ‘encourage’ the bad habits to fade away, and this process will probably test the fortitude of your mental and emotional endurance.
