The optimal first birth is about three to four hours of active labor and it can be achieved but it also requires some preparation to give you the best chance of spontaneous labour and normal birth. Actively seek information on the ‘secrets’ of natural labour and normal birth. The more you learn about the process of spontaneous labour, then the less anxious and fearful you will be on the day.
