So, rid yourself of any expectations of being the confident superhuman Supermum straight away — instead, embrace being extraordinarily ordinary! Turn your phone off if it’s causing you stress, ignore secondary household chores and if any impending visitors are thoughtful enough to offer to bring your dinner with them, then reply ‘Yes please!’ Make the mental decision not to overwork. Just relax, it’ll make you feel more normal, everything is fine . . . you’re on track.
