How do i deal with breastfeeding a distracted 9-month old bub?
Nov 13, 2024It is very common at around nine months for babies to lose interest in breastfeeding by becoming more thirst-quenching snack-breastfeeders (as solid food becomes more prevalent). In fact, all three of our babies self-weaned at around 9-10 months of age. Babies at this age can also be more sociable when feeding, such as stopping feeding to look around with a big smile on their dial, while your embarrassed and shy nipple is flashed for the world to admire. This is the stage when you may need to feed in quiet distraction-free environments, to maintain some level of productive suckling and wishful modesty.
