How different are one-year-olds from how two-year-old’s play?

For your one-year-old, you would need to buy them actual toys which they can hold and manipulate, such as dolls and trucks. Then between one and two years, they learn to play symbolically as they dress-up their dolls and do role-playing. By two years old, they can have wild imaginations which opens doors to special interests. So, two-year olds would enjoy some push-along or pull-along toys, or some toy musical instruments such as drums and rattles, or soft toys, and glove puppets which can boost their imagination.
