Do babies grow out of having colic?
Nov 20, 2024Colic is not a disease — it is a temporary physical disorder. Some experts estimate that about 20–25 per cent of babies can suffer a little from colic, but that only about 10 per cent of those (i.e. one in 40–50 babies) are considered severe cases. Other experts estimate that about one in 20 babies suffer from full-blown colic. But either way, it is reasonably common. Despite all their hours of crying, babies with colic are otherwise healthy and happy.
