Can you help me choose cots for my newborn?

Infant mattresses need to be reasonably firm (not soft), tight-fitting and, preferably, breathable (not foam). If the bassinet or cot is second-hand, then it is always a good idea to buy a new mattress that fits snugly. Then you can also consider cotton air-blankets, back-support cushions and abdominal sleep-wraps, and a microwaveable wheat bag during winter time to warm the baby’s bed. A little neonate head-rest can be a good option for pillows for the first two years. From six months old onwards, I also recommend using a BabyOK Babe-Sleeper (see page 244 for more details).
