Another well-priced option is the fabric ‘everywhere’ chair, which hooks over most dining-room chairs, keeping your baby securely seated. It is substantially easier to carry, in your bulging baby-bag, than carrying the plastic portable highchair plus your bulging baby-bag. However, from six months onwards, a highchair also serves as a hugely important tool for introducing a toddler to the social occasion of eating with the family. That’s where a highchair is invaluable!
